This past weekend I tried out a new recipe for a Seafood themed dinner party with some high school friends. It is always a risk to try a new recipe when you're sharing with other people, but this turned out GREAT and was completely eaten by the end of the evening. It was a also an ideal dinner party dish on a busy day because it only took me about 20 minutes to prep (and it looks like it would take a lot longer!).
A few people seemed skeptical about the idea of a 'savory' bread pudding, but this recipe makes it work. The top of the casserole is buttery and crunchy and the bottom is composed of thick crab custard.
